Five years of my life, chronicled here in this journal. I joined back when you needed an invite code to join. ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) krispies is the one who gave the the invite, though back then, she wasn't krispies, and I was Cassie.
This journal has changed so much in five years. At first, it was a lot of memes and quizzes and surveys. Kristen practically had to twist my arm to get me to post an actual entry. Nowadays, although I still do the occasional meme or survey or quiz, the bulk of my posts are actual entries or random one-liners.
I've changed a lot in five years, too. High school senior to college graduate.
This chapter is closed, but another is just starting.

In other news, I'm babysitting tomorrow night. If you can't have a social life on New Year's Eve, the next best thing is to get paid to sit around and read all night. I've babysat for this family a few times in the past month, and I promised the girls that I'd teach them to knit tomorrow night, because one of the times I was babysitting them, I was working on the scarves for my students, and the girls just thought it looked so cool.
Also, I finally decided to make the new journal friends-only. Maybe. We'll see how long that lasts. I may switch back to mostly-public after a while.

So, in the next few days, I'll be hitting up Barnes & Noble and Borders to make use of the giftcards I got for Christmas (cumulative $50 - $55 from B&N, $20 from Borders). Problem is, I don't know what to buy!
Therefore, I need book recs. Recommend me a book to read!

Edited to add: And, of course, after I post this, I check my friendspage, and Kristen (krispies) had done the exact same thing (minus the "y'all", and hers started with red, while mine started with green). ^_^ ♥ my sister.
